Chinese language program for spring semester（March 2020）

Ocean University of China (OUC) is a comprehensive university with particular strengths in oceanography and fisheries science. It is one of the key comprehensive universities directly under the Ministry of Education of China. In 2017 it was included in China’s plan of building “Double First-Rate” universities, having previously also been on the list of “Project 985” universities (a list of China’s top 39 universities) and “Project 211” institutions (of China’s top 100 universities).
The Chinese language Courses will strengthen students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Five different classes are offered according to students’ Chinese level : Elementary class (A, B), Intermediate class (C, D), and Advanced class (E). 3 to 4 courses per semester, including such courses as intensive reading, speaking, listening, reading, writing, newspapers, etc. 18-week courses a term, 4 courses every day from Monday to Friday. Chinese language program offers optional courses of Chinese culture such as calligraphy, Taiji and Peking opera.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants:Physically and mentally healthy, aged 16-60, high school degree or above.
Application Deadline:September to January in the previous academic year for spring semester
Time of Registration:29.02.2020—01.03.2020
Basic duration of study:one semester to two years.
Application Materials: Application form; Passport Copy and one two-inch photos
Certificate of the Highest Education Attainment and Transcript; Resume ( in Chinese or in English ); Foreigner Physical Examination; Bank statement（deposit of bank account more than 20,000 RMB is required for those who apply for one academic year or more); Working certificate (for those who have work experience before)；Certificate of No Criminal Record.

Please register and log into the online application system（http://admission.ouc.edu.cn）within the opening period for application, and then, following the requirements, fill out the Application Form for OUC International Students with true information. Tuition fee: RMB 7000/semester
Accommodation (on campus):
Double room : 5,500RMB /semester/bed；summer or winter vacation：2000RMB/bed
Room facilities:
Air condition, bathroom, water-heater, study table & chair, wardrobe, etc.
Insurance fee:RMB400/semester; RMB800/year

Notes：
1) “Application fee + tuition fee + applicant’s name” must be filled in the remark column of the remittance bill, which is to be submitted on registration day.
2) Accommodation fee and insurance should be paid after you arrive at OUC.
